Vote Down the TPP

The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (or TPP) is a dangerous trade deal with the potential to destroy thousands of Australian jobs.

The deal was negotiated by Malcolm Turnbull behind closed doors and allows corporations to sue our government just for making laws in the public interest. The TPP risks our jobs, our health and our democracy.

We have to defeat the TPP because:

  • it allows corporations to sue Australia just for making laws in the public interest (like lowering the cost of medicines for the sick).
  • it will force Australia to take even more workers on dodgy visas, undermining our wages and conditions and allowing corporations to make a killing off the backs of exploited foreign workers.
  • it says it will protect workers and the environment but is vague and almost unenforceable.

We have to stop this corporate power grab –and we can.

Malcolm Turnbull doesn’t have the votes to ratify this dangerous deal if Labor, the Greens and the crossbench Senators unite to block it.

Sign the petition calling for all parties to vote down the TPP and to stand with Australians.

The 7:30 report the other night demonstrated why we shouldn’t be allowing temporary visas for overseas workers. I felt so sad for all those Victorian ex Shell boilermakers left unemployed and seeing Koreans take their place.

Wonder if the TPP allows us to bring in some temporary politicians. I’d love to see Malcolm and co attempting to phone Centrelink but we know that they would never get through because they don’t have enough staff.

The TPP is only for Twisted Political Punks who think of no one but themselves like this lousy coalition who’re over loaded with the weed of greed. The TPP would do Australia a thousand times more harm than good. We’d lose millions more jobs, it would reduce our food safety standards, we would lose our freedom, there would be a lot more international court cases wasting billions of dollars, foreigners would take advantage of us, and in my opinion Australia would eventually become a third world country. Because we’ve already lost too much, and if this goes ahead, Australia would lose dozens of times more. A good government has always got to think about their own country as number one. But this federal government is not doing that. They’re helping foreigners more than Australians, and that is not doing us any good. And this government has got no rights to ruin the lives of innocent Aussies. But this is just the beginning. There’s still heaps more to worry about. So let’s get together and prevent such a DEVASTATING UNFORGIVABLE EXPLOITATIVE lock in deal.

Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is nothing but un-Australian. Scary to think Malcolm Turnbull will sign such agreement for what it is. For once do the right thing. Don’t sell off Australia to corporate grabs!

I wish we would all stop being distracted by arguements over race religion colour, it’s the colour of your money that determines wether your worth listening to. workers all over the world are in the same boat, all we want is a roof over your head & food on the table for your family, & a bit of fun not a diamond necklace & a ferrari, can’t bloody eat them, what happens when we decide the top end of town is getting to heavy, we’re the ones who hold society up, what happens when we decide it’s not worth saving, business’s have got to make a profit no arguement there, but their out of control. What next.
